Who you are:
Boom Learning is hiring a Marketing Communications Manager who will be responsible for managing creative design and copy for a wide range of online and offline marketing collateral for sale to schools, districts, and individual teachers. A background in education or educational technology would make you an ideal candidate.
Applicants must live and work in one of the following states: Indiana (IA), Illinois (IL), Florida (FL), North Carolina (NC), Ohio (OH), Utah (UT), Washington (WA), Wisconsin (WI), Wyoming (WY).
Main Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, manage the creation of copy and design for online and print collateral for marketing educational technology products and services to teachers and school administrators.
- Develop and execute a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with corporate and brand direction while reflecting local priorities
- Manage and maintain brand guidelines, ensure consistency of all collateral, and serve as the company’s brand steward.
- Oversee the Social Media Marketing Lead to ensure consistency of social media with overall brand.
- Develop processes for effective delivery of marketing collateral. Work with company leadership to create a culture of proactive communication.
- Assist in building a culture focused on results-driven communications, and work with Director of Marketing to develop data-driven strategies, a/b testing options, and reporting systems.
- Work with Email Marketing Specialist to develop new marketing automations to increase conversions to subscription and school-based accounts as well as ongoing engagement with the product.
- Work with vendors and agencies as needed to supplement in-house marketing assets.
- Plan and implement PR initiatives related to the brand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and communication
Key Requirements
- 6-10 years of prior experience in a similar role. Experience in K-12 education or edtech is a big plus.
- Proficiency in developing, executing, and measuring B2C marketing directly to teachers and B2E lead generation for schools and districts.
- Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- High level of attention to detail, including a proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in major design programs (such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Figma, or other programs) and experience in managing designers.
- Knowledge of website creation and best practices on user experience, content management, and SEO. Experience with WordPress and other content management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of email marketing and CRM systems, as well as best practices on user experience for email marketing.
- Proficiency in project management software and experience in managing marketing communications products from ideation to completion.
- A passion for K-12 education. Prior teaching experience is a plus.

Salary: $101,000 -$116,869 depending on location and skills.
