About This Opportunity:
As the Marketing Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, strategy, and execution of high-visibility events, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and exceptional experiences, on brand and on budget.
You’ll bring experience executing activations of all sizes — from small conferences, to large national tradeshows, to bespoke client celebrations.
Things You’ll Do Here:
Event Planning and Logistics
- Plan events ranging in size from small to large, including both owned and third-party conferences
- Identify opportunities that align with brand strategy and corporate goals, securing event registrations and sponsorships
- Manage all aspects of exhibit booth logistics, including A/V, electrical, and internet; booth graphics and structures; carpeting and furnishing; shipping; and signage
- Coordinate event staffing and related items, including food and beverage arrangements; hotel reservations; and travel logistics
Onsite Support
- Provide onsite support for three to five events annually
- Ensure smooth onsite operations, serving as dedicated event lead
Relationship Development
- Serve as the main point of contact for industry association memberships and event sponsorships, ensuring timely fulfillment of deliverables
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry partners
- Work closely with vendors, including agency partners; exhibit houses; general contractors; and hotels and venues
- Negotiate contracts with venues and vendors to secure advantageous pricing and terms
Budget Management and ROI
- Own event and sponsorship budget, closely tracking expenses and projections against budget
- Help build strategy to analyze event and sponsorship ROI, evaluating the success of each activation to provide recommendations for future improvements
Brand Activation
- Manage the identification, printing/production, and shipping of branded merchandise and marketing collateral
- Elevate the Valenz brand, ensuring all materials adhere to brand standards and appropriately reflect brand narrative

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in event management or related roles.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale events with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel as required, approximately three to five occurrences annually.
Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position, and we’ll provide all the necessary equipment!
- Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions.
Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software.
Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
