Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our team. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. You will lead both digital and traditional marketing efforts, working to increase visibility, generate leads and drive new business growth in line with the company’s overall objectives.

About the company:

Petcover is a global pet insurance provider covering all animals, from beloved beagles to majestic eagles, and a wide range of pet professionals and businesses. Already a market leader for pet insurance in Australia and New Zealand, we are now growing rapidly in the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Strategic Marketing Planning:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse metrics, and report on return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

2) Digital Marketing:

  • Lead the digital marketing strategy, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, content marketing, and social media.
  • Manage and optimise the company’s website to ensure it supports lead generation and conversion
  • Collaborate with external agencies, designers, and content creators to enhance the company’s online presence.

3) Brand & Communications:

  • Maintain and strengthen the company’s brand identity across all marketing and communications channels.
  • Develop messaging and positioning strategies that resonate with the target audience.
  • Manage PR and media relationships to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Orchestrate all aspects of marketing events and conferences, from planning and collateral production to post-event analysis.

4) Lead Generation & Demand Generation:

  • Design and implement lead generation campaigns that drive customer acquisition and sales growth.
  • Use data analytics to optimise customer journeys and conversion rates through the sales funnel.
  • Partner with the sales team to ensure alignment on lead nurturing and campaign performance.

5) Content Marketing:

  • Oversee the creation and curation of engaging content for blogs, social media, email newsletters, and other platforms.
  • Ensure content strategies are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce compelling product and customer-focused content.

6) Budget & Performance Management:

  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring a strong ROI across all activities.
  • Monitor spend and performance against budget to make informed decisions.
  • Provide regular reporting on campaign performance and marketing spend.

7) Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee external partnerships with agencies, freelancers, and third-party suppliers.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments such as sales, product, and operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field (CIM qualification is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience in leading digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, email, and social media.
  • Strong understanding of brand management and lead generation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Experience using marketing tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics and ESP systems (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo)
  • Ability to analyse data, interpret metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience within insurance/financial services
  • Knowledge of B2B and D2C marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with UK and EU marketing regulations, including GDPR compliance.
