As a Medicare Advantage Advocate, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Location: Work from home anywhere in the State of Nebraska or local Omaha metro area (Council Bluffs, Glenwood, etc) *
- Applicants for this position must reside within the state of Nebraska, the local Omaha metro, or Kansas City metro area at the time of application.
Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Your work schedule will require flexibility, with the potential for any 8.5-hour shift between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. (Central Time Zone), Monday through Sunday. Shifts will change, so adaptability is key. (Shift differential for weekend and evening hours worked)
Hours: Oct 1 – March 31, 8am – 9pm Mon – Sunday
Hours: Apr 1 – Sept 30th, 8am – 9pm Mon – Fri
Holidays required to work include Martin Luther King Day, New Years Day and The Friday after Thanksgiving
Training Schedule a 5-week virtual training program that includes hands-on activities, self-led learning modules, assessments, and worksheets. During training, no time can be missed.
Required: Reliable internet service provider as well as dedicated, distraction free workplace
What You’ll Do
- Interfaces with Medicare Advantage customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail.
- Research customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues.
- Elevates sensitive customer requests when necessary.
- Comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates, which are continually changing, thus creating a very dynamic environment, candidate is responsible to take initiative to stay current on policies and procedures required to support the customer and to ensure compliance.
- Accountable to remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
To Be Considered For This Position, You Must Have
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- Availability for training 5 weeks in length.
The Strongest Candidates For This Position Will Also Possess
- Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation is a plus.
