SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting in the execution of the Cigna Medicare growth strategy for agents and agencies through the use of phone and digital outreach to provide sales strategy and support, conduct training and education, and cultivate relationships. This position will conduct business remotely and will work on targeted basis to outreach to agents, agencies or within markets on an as needed.


Work Location: Untied States, Work at Home


Travel: 25% of time in region

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Influence brokers to sell more Cigna Medicare Advantage plans by effectively positioning our products, explaining our value proposition and promoting the Cigna brand
  • Assist with the execution of local broker sales plans by conducting appropriate sales activities, as directed by the Head of Local Broker Strategy

    • Leverage partnerships and technology to host virtual sales and/or educational events
    • Conduct virtual sessions to help improve agents and agencies understanding of Cigna’s Medicare product portfolio
    • Train agents and agencies on Cigna’s virtual sales tools, broker portal, and available marketing assets
    • Assist agents and agencies with Cigna-specific marketing & growth strategies
    • Outreach to agents and agencies to inform them of new initiatives, promote additional training opportunities, remind them of sales deadlines/SEPs, etc.
  • Assist in the execution of national FMO strategies by coordinating with downline sales agents and agencies
  • Responsible for reporting daily activities to ensure alignment with creating incremental sales consistent with local broker goals
  • Expand sales efforts within local brokers across the portfolio of Cigna products including upsell, cross-sell and conversion opportunities as appropriate
  • May be responsible for Lead management activities, such as assigning leads to brokers and holding them accountable to our lead management rules
  • Adheres to and maintains current understanding of compliance requirements and organizational policies & procedures


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, highly preferred.

  • Valid Health Insurance License, required
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present to a group or individual
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written and active listening skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong technological skills – such as CRM, WebEx, Outlook, chat, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate well both internally and externally to support achievement of market objectives
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Knowledge of systems and technology and proficient with data analytics
  • Knowledge of marketing strategy, value proposition
  • Adherence to CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and procedures
  • Customer features and benefits and Medicare knowledge preferred
  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized and proactive
  • Works well within a matrixed organization

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
