Job Summary:

As a MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to create responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications. Your role will involve end-to-end development, from database design to user interface implementation, ensuring that applications are optimized for performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Build dynamic, user-friendly, and responsive front-end interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Implement backend services and APIs with Node.js and Express.js, ensuring seamless data interaction between the front end and database.
• Design and manage databases using MongoDB, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and security.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements, features, and functionalities.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize application performance, including both front-end and back-end, for fast loading times and smooth user experiences.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security protocols to ensure the safety of data and users.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and best practices in the MERN stack.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with strong expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Proficient in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with a strong understanding of React best practices and hooks.
• Extensive experience in developing back-end services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and management using MongoDB.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material UI).
• Proficient in integrating third-party APIs and services with MERN-based applications.
• Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and using testing libraries (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).
• Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with tools like Jira and Trello.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TypeScript or other JavaScript superset languages.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and Apollo Client.
• Experience with other front-end frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for automating deployment and infrastructure management.
