Position: Messaging Strategist

We are looking to hire a Messaging Strategist who can write high-quality marketing content. The Messaging Strategist will be responsible for drafting and editing content in the form of blogs, articles, and social media posts.

Responsibilities:

• Create compelling headlines and body copy in the form of web pages, blogs, articles, and social media posts, including promotional content such as landing pages, video scripts, and email marketing.
• Write formal medical articles and conduct research on relevant topics.
• Review and refresh site content regularly to ensure it is always relevant and optimized according to the latest SEO strategies.
• Ensure all published content meets our standards for accuracy, grammar, tone, and quality.
• Edit and polish existing content to improve readability.
• Stay current on developments in the eye care field and generate new ideas.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies for marketing content.
• Create engaging direct marketing materials to drive client engagement.
• Execute effective email marketing campaigns.

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of marketing content writing experience.
• Direct marketing experience is a plus.
• Email marketing experience is preferred.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure; knowledge in optometry/ophthalmology is a plus.
• Ability to craft compelling, concise social media content using promotional language.
• Excels at conversational, promotional, and formal writing.
• Proven ability to communicate complex topics in relatable and understandable ways.
• Well-versed in SEO and able to write high-quality content that passes the “Google Test.”
• Experience using content management systems and managing/editing websites (WordPress).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Drive (Documents, Sheets, etc.).
• Well-organized, able to multitask, and possesses excellent time management skills.
• Strong research skills are a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or a relevant field.
• Experience in medical content writing is an asset.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 9 AM – 5 PM EST, Monday to Friday, Remote.
• Only candidates with a portfolio will be considered.
