Mobile Platform Engineer (Remote)

We are dedicated to help Android, iOS, React Native, and Flutter engineers with tooling that accelerates their work through cutting edge techniques like remote build caching and remote distributed task execution, with an easy to use and fun developer experience.

We also provide data-based visibility into how their build tools are performing, helping them to identify and resolve slow and flaky builds and tests, enabling engineers to diagnose and fix issues quickly.

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Platform Engineer to design, build, scale, and maintain cutting-edge tooling for mobile developers, enabling users to expedite their development process.

The gross monthly salary range for this position is 1,625,000-2,375,000 HUF.

As a Mobile Platform Engineer you will:

• Develop and maintain tools to accelerate build processes for Android, iOS, React Native, and Flutter developers.
• Enhance tooling that offers visibility into build trends to help diagnose and resolve build and test issues.
• Streamline workflows through automation.
• Work on integrations with build tools like Gradle, Bazel, or xcodebuild.
• Monitor tool performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent customer impact.
• Be comfortable working with niche technologies with naturally low coverage on StackOverflow/Google.
• Demonstrate excellence in reading and understanding documentation and adopting it into practice.
• Work with customers to help diagnose their issues and improve their build speed.
• Understand the main driving factors for customers and the most important metrics related to their workflows, and take part in data analysis.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams within Bitrise.
• Plan and execute your work in an iterative, agile manner.
• Document and share knowledge across the engineering org.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to experiment with and learn new technologies efficiently.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• You have at least 2 years of experience as an engineer in Platform, Tooling, DevOps, Mobile or any similar role.
• You have a solid understanding of at least one mobile development environment, like Android, iOS, React Native, or Flutter.
• You love to learn new technologies.
• You are skilled in scripting and automation.
• You are not afraid to set up and leverage Continuous Integration systems for process automations.
• You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international, agile-focused team environment.

What Would Really Knock Our Socks Off:

• Taste for good devtools and ergonomics.
• Background in build performance optimization.
• Experience with writing Gradle plugins or Bazel rules.
• Experience with remote build cache and distributed build systems.
• Familiarity with Bitrise CI/CD.
• Experience working in distributed remote teams.
• Experience working with Golang.
