Position Overview
As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be instrumental in assisting borrowers throughout the loan application process. This role involves advising clients on selecting the most appropriate loan programs, compiling loan applications, and gathering essential documentation such as pay stubs, bank statements, and tax returns. You will collaborate closely with appraisers, title officers, escrow officers, loan processors, and underwriters to ensure a seamless mortgage experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate mortgage loans through self-generated leads, corporate referrals, and targeted campaigns.
- Engage with applicants to comprehend their financial objectives and provide tailored loan product recommendations.
- Collect, evaluate, and analyze client documentation, including credit information and assets, to facilitate mortgage loan applications.
- Manage the application process by performing preliminary reviews and submitting comprehensive applications to processing and underwriting.
- Ensure the timely collection of necessary documents for all stages of processing, underwriting, and closing.
- Conduct daily marketing activities with a target of generating a minimum of four loans each month.
- Address customer inquiries and provide assistance to meet their needs.
- Achieve both individual and team sales performance goals.
Required Skills
- Current active NMLS License.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a capacity to manage multiple loans concurrently.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data.
- Effective interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Dedication to ethical standards in all professional interactions.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as an outside loan originator.
- High School diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
