Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Direct the advancement of affordable housing projects, managing all phases from design to construction.
- Collaboration: Partner with the real estate development team to establish project objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks, while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Site Planning: Execute initial feasibility assessments and review zoning and code regulations to facilitate effective project planning.
- Consultant Management: Prepare and disseminate RFQs and RFPs, orchestrate consultant selection processes, and liaise with third-party consultants, including architects and general contractors.
- Design Oversight: Steer the design process, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Construction Supervision: Manage the construction phase, tracking project advancement, addressing challenges, and ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Quality & Compliance: Uphold high standards in document management, budget oversight, and quality assurance throughout all project stages.
- Communication & Reporting: Facilitate project meetings, deliver regular updates to clients and stakeholders, and maintain transparent communication across all teams.
- Future-Forward Leadership: Serve as an innovative team leader, promoting creativity and ongoing enhancement.
- Additional Responsibilities: Conduct site visits, oversee vendors and subcontractors, manage project milestones, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a Project Manager or Construction Manager role, specifically within multifamily or commercial projects; experience in affordable housing is an advantage.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
- In-depth understanding of project planning and management principles.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to lead and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
