Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Direct the development of affordable housing projects, managing all phases from design to construction.
- Collaboration: Partner with the real estate development team to establish project objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality standards while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Site Planning: Conduct feasibility studies and review zoning and code requirements to facilitate project planning.
- Consultant Management: Prepare and disseminate RFQs and RFPs, coordinate the consultant selection process, and work with third-party consultants, including architects and general contractors.
- Design Oversight: Lead the design phase, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project goals and schedules are met.
- Construction Supervision: Monitor the construction phase, addressing issues that arise, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Quality & Compliance: Uphold high standards in document management, budget control, and quality assurance throughout all project lifecycles.
- Communication & Reporting: Conduct project meetings, providing consistent updates to clients and stakeholders while maintaining open communication across teams.
- Future-Forward Leadership: Serve as an innovative team leader, promoting continuous improvement and creative solutions.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform site visits, oversee vendors and subcontractors, manage project milestones, and undertake other duties as necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven record of successfully delivering complex projects on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Strong understanding of project planning and management principles.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively leading and collaborating within a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in multifamily or commercial projects; expertise in affordable housing is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
