We are currently looking to recruit a National Account Manager for our Grocery and High Street channel. This home based National Account Manager will join our commercial sales team and support in the ongoing growth of our business. Reporting to the National Account Controller, the role is highly customer orientated and will be responsible for developing account specific plans and demonstrating market insight within the customer base. The successful person must be competent in developing strong relationships both internally and externally with the customer base, in order to ensure the customers’ needs are met.
Key responsibilities for our National Account Manager will include:
- Ownership for exceeding sales and gross margin for portfolio of national accounts
- Working alongside Commercial Finance review P&L and pull on the right levers to drive profitable growth (i.e. terms, promotional support, base product performance, distribution and NPD)
- Full KPI and P&L responsibility
- Working cross functionally with Marketing and Supply Chain to launch best in class Customer sell ins and NPD launches
- Manage relationships internally and externally to ensure we put customers at the heart of our planning and execution
- Work collaboratively with the Sales Controllers to develop account strategy which create win wins for World of Sweets and our Customers
- Working with the Marketing and Product teams identify new opportunities that are right for the consumer, customer and World of Sweets
- Lead the cross functional agenda across supply chain and sales to ensure we deliver on commercial activities in line with customer agreements and facilitate/coordinate external responses and resolutions to service failures and shortages
- Maintain external awareness of markets, products, processes, competitors
- Drive regular contact strategy with external customers; presenting core range, NPD, seasons, concept development and innovation
- Coordinate and participate in customer projects, consolidating cross-functionally; operations, supply chain, commercialisation etc
Who should apply?
For our National Account Manager role, we are looking for an individual who has experience of working within a similar role (ideally within the FMCG sector or similar). You will have a passion for building long lasting relationships with both your internal and external stakeholders and have a proven track record of growing current sales and building new opportunities within your accounts. This role is home based with travel required to customers based throughout the UK.
A car/car allowance will accompany the role along with the opportunity to receive a bonus; the value of which is dependent on the team achieving targets. All other benefits and package details will be discussed at interview.
