About the role….
We are looking for a passionate and driven National Account Manager with a keen eye for data and numbers to join our Sales Team. The National Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing the profitability and presence of Jack N’ Jill across the key major accounts business.
Reporting to the Global Sales Director – this critical role is responsible for the achievement of agreed sales, distribution, profitability, market share and promotional targets across all categories within the designated Customer Accounts. Success in this role will position you for future career development opportunities within our business.
Responsibilities in this role will include
- Deliver revenue, expenditure, profit and category share/growth targets.
- Effective management of customer relationships and joint business plans.
- Effective management of the category review process for all categories to key customers.
- Lead the post evaluation process of key category business initiatives within key customers to identify key learnings for application to future opportunities.
- Manage the promotional paradigm to create maximum sales & profitability for TSPC & key customers.
- Manage day to day trade negotiations with key customer contacts.
- Develop strong, effective business relationships with key customer personnel.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other internal functions to deliver business solutions.
- Work closely with the production team to redesign product, discuss NPD, and other internal projects.
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategic sales plans.
- Accurately forecast based on all available information for key customer accounts.
- Develop new business opportunities aligned to Jack N’ Jill’s growth strategy.
- Grow revenue for key accounts.
What will make you successful
- Minimum 5 years National Account Management experience in grocery with experience on Coles and/or Woolworths accounts (Essential).
- Significant experience in negotiating with strategic customers with proven positive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated advanced relationship building and strategic thinking experience.
- High level communication skills and ability to openly express ideas and listen and build relationships.
- Advanced Excel skills to provide innovative and accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Participation in networking and other relationship management opportunities to develop and grow relationships with key customers.
- Demonstrated business acumen which initiates change/continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated analytical ability and problem solving for better solutions.
- Ability to deal with complexity, detail and meet deadlines.
- Process driven with strong customer focus.
- Curious mindset and great team player!
- Key requirements to be considered:
- The position requires a person who can communicate at all management levels to ensure they can developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the business and with customers.
- Exceptional communicator with a strong creative flair, coupled with demonstrated ability to articulatebusiness acumen and strategic account planning skills
- A proven track record in Account Management and Development, ideally within the retail or consumer brand industries. Experience gained in other industries will also be considered.
- You will be a high achiever with the necessary attributes to be considered for future Team Leadership roles.
