Anguleris Group is expanding into the APAC region. Swatchbox Australia is looking for a National Business Development Manager to generate sales by creating strong and effective brand partnerships. B2B Sales and marketing experience within the Australian architecture, design, and construction industry is desirable but not essential.

The right candidate will develop B2B sales strategies, plan and coordinate efforts to achieve growth for our key brand partners. Swatchbox Australia National Business Development Manager will need to demonstrate an ability to sell, manage key accounts and work collaboratively with both the Marketing and logistics teams to create innovative class leading propositions for our brand partners and industry members. they will need to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills to manage the growing portfolio.
The candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, proactive and organised. Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills are essential.
Strong interpersonal, public speaking and negotiating skills are essential.
Core responsibilities for National Business Development Manager:
Focus on sales growth
- Own and achieve/exceed annual sales targets, as set in collaboration with the Director
- Develop, contribute and execute sales strategy of the business to ensure the implementation of strategies and objectives are in line with our sales plan.
- Continually identify and drive growth opportunities through new and existing clients
- Maintain a full pipeline of sales.
- Provide market intelligence and advice on industry trends and major developments that have the capacity to provide new opportunities.
Strengthen brand partnerships
- Build and strengthen architectural product suppliers’ partnerships and relationships.
- Partner with brands to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Successfully launch NPD and update range for key brands/suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships
Insights-driven performance and relationships
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Working knowledge of sales and marketing principals
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual planning of company objectives
Lead team on sales
- Manage the sales team, including reporting on KPIs
- Create weekly and monthly sales report to track and offer insights to the trading pattern of the business
- Flexibility within the role will also be of critical importance to step into managing other teams (marketing & logistics) and various clientele.
Skills & Experience required:
- Experience as a B2B Sales or Business Development Manager.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven sales ability and track record of executing successful negotiations
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Ability to meet targets outlined within the Sales Strategy
- Working knowledge of sales, marketing and brand building principals
- Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of company and services
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
- The ability to work autonomously and remotely with a remote manager and colleagues
- A willingness to provide a superior customer service to clients
- Friendly, professional manner
- Ability to travel interstate and occasionally overseas.
