    The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing new customer business with the Top 100 U.S. Convenience Store Retailers while maintaining and enhancing current customer relationships. This involves meeting with retailer customers to understand and address their needs using PCB-branded or proprietary products. The role may include managing Brokers and Distributors to maximize sales volume and profitability. It requires strategic sales planning, using analytics to drive performance, and the tactical skill to execute and close sales calls effectively. Proficiency in negotiation and budget management is essential, along with collaboration with the internal PCB team to achieve business goals. The candidate should have established key account relationships and must be capable of developing new contacts through continuous outreach, including making cold calls. Ultimately, the National Account Manager should excel at facilitating communication and building long-term partnerships to meet business objectives.

    What You’ll Do as a National Sales Manager (convenience retail):

    • Deliver sales and revenue goals within agreed timelines.
    • Demonstrate strong fact-based, conceptual selling skills, utilizing syndicated and internal data to present effective solutions that address customer needs.
    • Serve as the liaison between internal and external teams, ensuring mutual requirements of both the customer and PCB are met.
    • Apply knowledge of C-Store operations effectively.
    • Use competent negotiation skills to achieve win-win outcomes for both parties.
    • Contribute to product innovation and development by sharing relevant market and customer insights.
    • Maintain superior business relationships with assigned customers, personally engaging key decision-makers as needed.
    • Handle customer questions and complaints efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
    • Stay informed about key industry initiatives and trends.
    • Collaborate effectively across departments within PCB to secure necessary support for achieving sales objectives, maintaining proactive and consistent communication with the internal team.
    • Utilize Microsoft Office and other technology to develop impactful presentations, and continually refine your skill set to support communication and analysis tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
    • Exhibit independent thinking to make sound decisions within company policies and budgets.
    • Manage time effectively to balance in-office and travel responsibilities.
    • Exercise cost-efficient travel planning.

    What You’ll Need as a National Sales Manager (convenience retail):

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, acquired through four years of college in a relevant professional or technical field.
    • Experience: 10+ years.
    • Computer Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to drive business improvement.
    • Sales and Leadership: Previous experience must demonstrate effective sales skills and the ability to manage and direct teams successfully.
    • Competencies: Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills. Must be self-motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented.
    • Work Ethic: Diligent with a strong work ethic.
    • Schedule: Flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs, typically averaging 40–50 hours per week. Company policy prohibits work on Saturdays.
    • License: Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Physical Requirements: Sufficient strength and stamina to set up trade shows or displays, move cases, and work at events.
    • Travel: 24 or more trips per year.
