Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in promoting hydrocolloids to national accounts across various industries. Our client is based in Houston, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our market presence and capturing a greater market share in the food, paper, cosmetics, and other chemicals industries. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong sales acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to generating new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- National Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to target national accounts in the food, paper, cosmetics, and other chemicals industries.
- Identify key market segments and opportunities for growth, leveraging industry insights and market trends.
- Set ambitious sales targets and objectives, working closely with the executive team to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Client Acquisition and Retention:
- Proactively prospect and engage with potential clients to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact and addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Develop customized sales proposals and presentations to effectively communicate the value proposition of our hydrocolloid products to prospective clients.
- Trade Show Participation:
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and events, networking with key stakeholders and promoting our products and services.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and competitive landscape, gathering market intelligence and insights to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment on sales objectives and strategies.
- Provide feedback and insights from the field to inform product development efforts and enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably within the ingredient or chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of hydrocolloid products and their applications in various industries.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, drive revenue growth, and achieve sales targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
