The Role

Reporting into the National Operations Manager of Power Systems, we are seeking a creative and innovative Design Manager specialized in Power systems Engineering with leadership skills developed through prior management roles or dedicated years spent in the field.  This is a unique opportunity where you will take DC, AC and solar power projects, (primarily for Telecommunications Carriers) from design and estimation stage through to managing the national design team and take the lead on major projects.

You will work with experienced designers, stakeholders and other key subject matter experts and engage in site surveys, design, audits, quoting, costing, and specifying of material.

Based out of our Carole Park Head Office in QLD, you will be supporting the national projects team and general operations. Short duration site travel will be required. Candidates based in NSW or VIC May also be considered, in this instance you would be based in either the Eastern Creek NSW State Office or the Keysborough VIC State Office

Salary will be commensurate with your level of relevant industry and management experience and comes with a fully maintained vehicle. Flexible work arrangements available.

Essential Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
• Prior management or team leader experience 
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical Projects, product or system design in DC/AC/Inverters/UPS/ or related areas
• Proven ability to provide technical support to a wide range of areas and staff 
• Polished attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

• Prior experience in Telepower (3 years minimum) 
• Qualify for Member status in Engineers Australia and RPEQ
• Engineering drafting experience 
• Electrical Licence and Project Management qualifications
