Job 1

Job Title: Network and System administration

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Local Area and Wide Area Network Administration (Physical/Wireless Network) by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
• Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Applies revisions to host system firmware and software.
• Works with vendors to assist support activities.
• Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling County objectives and processes.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Participate in managing all network security solutions.
• Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN, AWS cloud, SDWAN design and implementation.
• Knowledge and experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista Routers and Switches and support of the following technologies: QOS (Quality Service) with Cisco, Avaya, Cisco Switching and Layer 2 Protocols (VLANs, VTP, etc.).
• Routing EIGRP (BGP a+), HSRP/VRRP, 802.1x.
• Working technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Riverbed Steelhead, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Firewall, TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewall administration and IDS/IPS modules experience.
• Remote Access solutions (client VPN, small office VPN, business to business VPN).
• Proven experience with VOIP phone systems (Lync, Avaya), IP Telephony, H.323, SIP.
• Enterprise wireless infrastructure experience with Aruba wireless controllers, Aruba Airwave, and Aruba ClearPass.
• Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Job Title: Server Administrator

Role and Responsibilities:

• Candidate responsible for administering VMWare, Windows Servers, Active Directory, IIS, and SQL Server.
• Candidate must be able to create system related architecture diagrams and perform complex technical analysis.
• Must work effectively as part of a team as well as communicate effectively with team members and all levels of management.
• Candidate must perform as a member of the IT team to support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modification, security, and upgrading of IT systems and components to provide services that enable employees to effectively apply IT to complete business requirements.
• The candidate is expected to perform monitoring, evaluation, capacity planning and design of enterprise, load balanced, fault tolerant, redundant systems utilizing VM Ware and Microsoft products.
• Develop and maintain data retention plan including all critical servers, data, security, and rights.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation.
• Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
• Install and update software patches as required.
• Monitor systems health and makes recommendations for additional resources and hardware.
• Recommends enhancements to the server/storage/virtualization infrastructure.
• Candidate must have experience and willingness to share 24×7 support responsibilities with other members of the IT team.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 10+ years as a Windows and Exchange /O365 /Azure System Administration.
• Experience with NetApp or Pure Storage Systems.
• Strong experience in VMware cluster infrastructure.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize workload.
• Experience using Domain Trusts, Group Policies Objects and Logon scripts.
• Experience working on file/print/user services.
• Experience in configuring, administering windows failover clustering, windows network load balancer.
• Good experience in AWS cloud.
• Experience administering SQL Server databases.
• Prior experience using Veeams Backup platform is a plus.
• Prior experience with disaster recovery working in Windows/Linux Server environment.
• Project management experience to lead projects independently.
• Experience with SharePoint and Web services a plus.
• Position requires off-hours availability, as needed, to support business needs.
