Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Associate Director of Oncology Pipeline Strategy to join our team. In this essential leadership role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing commercial strategies centered on gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. Your efforts will directly influence product adoption, advance evidence generation, and promote collaboration across various departments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Oncology Pipeline Strategy, you will play a critical role in defining the trajectory of pioneering oncology products while engaging with leading experts and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic commercial initiatives for GI cancers, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive stakeholder product adoption.
  • Act as a key member of clinical pipeline teams to identify and prioritize indications, creating strategic roadmaps to address evidence requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of GI cancers by synthesizing real-time customer insights, market intelligence, and relevant data.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and commercial marketing teams to establish compelling value propositions and messaging frameworks in alignment with clinical evidence and market demands.
  • Provide strategic insights to enhance the market success of oncology products.
  • Work closely with Market Access teams to facilitate reimbursement for non-covered indications and support submissions to Medicare/MolDx and commercial payers.
  • Develop and implement strategies for engaging key opinion leaders (KOLs), fostering strong relationships and advocacy.
  • Co-develop and conduct advisory boards and market research initiatives in partnership with Medical Affairs.
  • Present strategic plans and progress updates regularly to executive leadership.

  • Strategic mindset with the capability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong focus on customer relationships and engagement with thought leaders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or PhD preferred.
  • Significant experience in GI oncology markets; expertise in upstream marketing is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing or market analytics within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing KOL relationships.
  • Strong familiarity with oncology molecular testing and biomarkers is highly desirable.
