As our Operations Executive – Geotechnical and Tunnels, you will help drive the continued success of WSP’s renowned 400+ strong national Geotechnical and Tunnels team!

Reporting to our National Operations Executive – Geotech and Tunnels and based either in either of our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth, you will be one of our senior leaders within our National Geotechnical and Tunnels team.

You will be responsible across the consulting lifecycle to improve the way our business operates and be instrumental in optimising four key areas: Winning work, Delivering Work, Optimising Financial Performance and Improving the experience and culture of the team.

What You’ll Do

You will work collaboratively with the G&T Leadership Team and the National Earth & Environment (E&E) Operations team. Your primary focus will be to ensure operational rigor across the business to drive sustainable business performance including commercial outcomes, safety, quality, efficiency & risk minimisation, and market leading retention and attraction of talent – all so that our Business Unit is meeting the current and future needs of clients.

Description

A full position description is available on request, but a snapshot of your day to day will look like (but not be limited to):

• Provide direct Operational support to a Region or Portfolio delivering annual Net Revenues of $20-$30million and support the National Operations Executive – G&T across the G&T National Business.
• Advancing the strategic framework for G&T to increase market share and achieve profitable growth, whilst ensuring alignment with global requirements
• Implementing frameworks to support budgeting, forecasting and corporate reporting, aligning with Enterprise and E&E timelines and processes
• Mitigating Key Risks: Anticipate and solve challenges ahead of time by capturing critical information about potential risks and issues and develop contingency plans to minimise disruptions and ensure business continuity.
• Embracing and leading our strong HSSE culture, providing safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/ eliminating high priority safety hazards

About You

You’re likely to be a known leader and possess years of proven experience. You possess exceptional people skills and have genuine market and industry presence with your peers. You are/have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in engineering, project management, business management, or equivalent
• Relevant professional certifications based on your skillset
• Relevant internal and external HSE and Quality training
• A proven track record of promoting innovation and improvement to create value for our clients and projects.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
