If you are passionate about optimising processes and driving operational efficiency, join our team as Operations Manager! Be part of our international team and play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions for trading scrap metal and building a greener future.

YOUR MISSION

• Ensure smooth and efficient buying and selling (import / export) activities of scrap and recycled metals on METYCLE
• Assist in commercial negotiations, prepare and communicate commercial offers for a variety of products, including payment terms and delivery terms, in collaboration with our trading team
• Ensure smooth operations, including orders, contracts, and documents
• Organise bulk and container shipments, as well as rail, truck, and air transport, in close cooperation with logistics partners
• Draft and review sales and purchase contracts, amendments, and prepare packing lists for deliveries
• Draft Bill of Lading (B/L) instructions for suppliers and/or logistics partners
• Optimise the trade flow, operations processes and the customer journey on our marketplace jointly with our product team

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Experience in B2B transaction with exposure to export / import activities, preferably in the metal scrap and recycling industry or a related sector
• Knowledge and a general understanding about the LME pricing methodologies
• Diligent work attitude with a keen eye for details and numbers as well as eagerness to work outside of own comfort zone
• Results-driven personality with hands-on mentality and a strong focus on achieving operational KPIs
• Entrepreneurial mindset paired with negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills
• Fast learner with outstanding problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working in a diverse team
• Excellent command of English and at least one local language
• Willingness to travel (~10%)
• Valid work / residence permit for India
