About Us:
Ollie’s Tours offers unique, immersive tours along the west coast of Ireland, including at iconic sites like the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. We are growing our operations and expanding to new locations. We’re looking for a dynamic, resourceful, and adaptable Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at both our current and upcoming locations.

The Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at our various tour locations, managing a team of guides and contractors, and addressing any unforeseen challenges that may arise. This role will involve working remotely for much of the time, with occasional travel to the locations (2-3 hours away). The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment and be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling tours, purchasing tickets, and communicating with guides and suppliers.
  • Oversee the hiring and training of tour guides and local coordinators at new locations.
  • Respond to last-minute issues such as guide cancellations, logistical problems, or unique customer needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both routine operations and emergencies, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Implement and optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency as we scale into new locations.
  • Travel occasionally to both the current and new locations to ensure smooth operations and maintain relationships with local partners.
  • Assist with expansion efforts, helping to build the business as we grow geographically.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operations management, ideally in the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing a team across multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel to our various locations as required (within 2-3 hours from your home base).
  • Flexibility to handle unpredictable situations and respond to crises as they arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €30,000.00-€34,000.00 per year

Additional pay:
