The Role
This newly created Operations Manager role is a key leadership position within IET’s executive team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee the operational framework, driving alignment between strategy, performance, and customer satisfaction.
You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while championing innovation and continuous improvement. By aligning operational efforts with IET’s strategic objectives, you will leave a lasting impact on the business and the broader industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee deployment of resources and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Service Managers, Project Managers, and Administrators, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Work with finance and commercial leaders to align operational strategies with company goals, ensuring seamless delivery of projects.
- Strengthen existing client relationships, ensuring service delivery meets expectations and agreements are maintained.
- Continuously enhance operational processes to maximise efficiency and maintain IET’s reputation for quality and reliability.
About You
You are a seasoned leader with a proven ability to maintain high standards and foster strong client relationships. You have played a pivotal role in a dynamic business, successfully managing operations to meet and exceed client expectations while retaining critical agreements.
Your approach combines collaboration, accountability, and a focus on operational excellence, ensuring teams are supported and clients remain confident in your work.
Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive background in senior management roles within the electrical, construction, or related industries.
- Proven success in retaining and nurturing client relationships while meeting and exceeding expectations.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and improving operational standards in complex environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent discipline (MBA highly regarded).
- A collaborative and approachable demeanor that builds trust with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
- Experience in process improvement, compliance, and ensuring regulatory adherence.
