On behalf of our client Procom is seeking an Operations Technology Site Systems Technologist. This role operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule and is 100% site-based. In addition to supporting the primary asset location, the technologist will provide remote support to secondary assets and may need to provide physical site support to other asset locations as required by business needs.
Operations Technology Site Systems Technologist Job Details
The Contract Operations Technology Site Systems Technologist is responsible for providing Level 1 support for on-site industrial control systems (ICS) and addressing critical control system component issues at our upstream assets to ensure system health.
– Responsible for on-site health monitoring, ensuring high system availability, conducting preventative maintenance, and performing break fixes on DCS, PLC, and SIS hardware and software, including Honeywell, Delta V, Rockwell, Triconex, and HIMA systems.
– Manage OT Technology customized for Control System Infrastructure, including virtualization, domains, virtual desktops, and applications.
– Handle networking and security tasks such as basic Cisco configuration and managing industrial networks like FTE, ethernet IP, and Modbus.
– Conduct cyber security operations, including patch management, access provisioning, application control, and disaster recovery plans.
– Oversee technology and lifecycle management, maintaining the installed inventory database (OT-Base) and managing parts.
– Provide documentation to support repeatability of OT tasks and assist in skill development and knowledge transfer among team members.
– Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering, to support implementation of MOCs, new projects, and technologies.
– Participate in emergency response, continuity, and recovery.
– Actively engage in client safety programs and adhere to safety policies.
Contract Operations Technology Site Systems Technologist Mandatory Skills
– 10+ years as a Professional Engineer or Technologist in the Instrumentation, Automation, and Control System field with broad experience.
– Experience in the Engineering, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance functions of a production facility.
– Demonstrated design, implementation, and operational knowledge of integrated plant control systems (Honeywell, Rockwell, Delta V).
– Experience with work management systems (SAP, Service-Now).
– Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment.
– Understanding of business-driven cost initiatives within the Automation function (i.e., Capital vs Operational costs).
