Description:
The Oracle DBA will oversee the management, maintenance, and migration of Oracle databases, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning. This role involves leveraging expertise in cloud migration, specifically from on-premises systems to Azure, while adhering to best practices and business standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to learning and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
Database Administration and Maintenance:
Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance and capacity.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
Deploy databases according to organizational standards and best practices.
Monitor storage utilization and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
Cloud Migration and Infrastructure:
Execute on-premises to Azure cloud migrations with proven success.
Implement and maintain high availability and clustering solutions.
Manage database disaster recovery procedures and ensure compliance with business requirements.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively within a team environment, effectively communicating with stakeholders.
Document updates and maintain clear records of database operations.
Mentor junior DBAs and foster a culture of learning and improvement.
Required Skills:
Certifications: Azure Certification and Oracle Certification.
Experience: 8-10 years as a Senior Oracle DBA with a focus on cloud migrations.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL, high availability clustering, and disaster recovery.
Cloud Knowledge: Deep understanding of Oracle databases and Azure infrastructure.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Desired Skills:
Leadership experience in supervising teams and mentoring staff.
Advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning expertise.
Familiarity with integrated security and database monitoring tools.
Educational Qualifications:
Azure Certification (required).
Oracle Certification (required).
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (preferred).

Compensation:
Pay range: $36.75-$52.5/hour
