Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle JD Edwards Architect to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or World software solutions architecture, supporting our organization’s digital transformation and business goals. The architect will ensure that our JDE infrastructure is optimized, integrates effectively with other systems, and scales with business needs. This is a remote role for candidates based in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design and Strategy:

  • Design and develop scalable JD Edwards architecture in alignment with business and IT strategies.
  • Create and document system designs, configurations, workflows, and interfaces to ensure a seamless and efficient JDE environment.

• Implementation and System Upgrades:

  • Lead JDE implementation projects, including upgrades, patches, and module installations.
  • Assess upgrade impacts on customizations and ensure compatibility with existing integrations.

• Customization and Development:

  • Oversee customizations, including user interface modifications, workflow automation, and data integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and implement JD Edwards configurations to address specific business needs.

• Integration and Interoperability:

  • Manage JDE integrations with Oracle databases, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Ensure robust data exchange across systems using JD Edwards AIS (Application Interface Services), middleware, and API configurations.

• Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor and improve system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and errors.
  • Implement best practices for scalability, stability, and reliability of the JDE system.

• Documentation and Compliance:

  • Document architectural designs, integration processes, and configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and internal security protocols.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, IT, and development teams to align JDE solutions with business needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on JD Edwards to various stakeholders and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

• Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to teams on JDE system functionalities and best practices.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Oracle JD Edwards, with expertise in EnterpriseOne or World software.
• Proven experience in JDE architecture, including implementations, upgrades, and customizations.
• In-depth knowledge of JDE functional modules, workflows, and integration with other ERP/enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, AIS, Business Services, and EnterpriseOne Toolset.
• Experience with cloud integrations, middleware, and API management.
• Familiarity with data security, compliance requirements, and best practices for enterprise architecture.

Skills:

• Proficiency in JDE modules (Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution, HR, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to business and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and effectively manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies is a plus.
