OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Oracle Forms Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle Forms applications to meet business requirements. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports to support business processes.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Modify and optimize existing Oracle Forms applications to improve performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather and clarify requirements.
- Develop and test code to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Oracle Forms and Reports applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions developed.
- Provide support for system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure application security and compliance with organizational policies and best practices.
- Stay updated on Oracle technologies and recommend enhancements for existing systems.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle Forms Developer, with hands-on expertise in Oracle Forms and Reports (10g, 11g, or higher).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with Oracle databases and related tools.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) or other Oracle development tools.
- Knowledge of Java, XML, or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Oracle applications.
