Responsibilities For The Outside Sales Rep
- Ensure delivery of target sales by meeting with customers and maintaining relationships
- Recommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potential
- Analyze plans and trends to ensure best assignment of territories, clients, and service distribution.
- Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in industry networks, and growing lasting client relationships
- Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volumes and forecasting.
- Remain relevant with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand shifts, and product mix.
- Positively contribute to full sales and customer service teams
- Develop and collaborate on long- and short-term sales strategies
Requirements Of The Outside Sales Rep
- Minimum 3-5+ years of Outside Sales experience
- Strong knowledge of lumber, building materials, and millwork
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with customers
- Highly motivated and results-oriented
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
