Move and Play Paediatric Therapy is a leading multidisciplinary paediatric allied health service based in Mackay. We are a locally owned and run service, providing high quality and family friendly therapy services to children from infancy to adolescence.
We are an experienced team of Physio’s, OT’s, Speechie’s and AHA’s, and we pride ourselves on looking out for each other, having fun, working collaboratively, and delivering outcomes for children and families in our community. It is rare to get the opportunity to work with the full complimentary of allied health professionals in one place like we have.
About the role:
We are seeking a Physiotherapist to join our wonderful multidisciplinary team.
Our clinic is based in Mackay, Central Queensland, and we also provide outreach services to families in our surrounding regional areas through our monthly outreach service.
Our Physio’s support children from infancy through to adolescence with a variety of developmental needs and disabilities. We use a family-centred approach, and deliver a mix of in clinic and community based services, using a variety of clinical approaches depending each individual child’s and family’s needs.
This position is open to physiotherapists at all stages of their career. We have established clinical and professional development programs, internal and external mentoring, in-house training and development, clinical educators for student placements, and opportunity for project work.

- Structured in house mentoring with an experienced team of senior therapists and team leaders.
- Diary schedules that ensure you have enough time to do ‘all the things’ – we have dedicated time in everyone’s diaries for report writing, non face to face activities, mentoring, meetings etc
- 15 minutes minimum of dedicated preparation and planning time before or after every appointment so you have time to reflect and plan for each client session
- Flexible ‘project block’ hour in your diary each day that you can use for client related activities, mentoring, or completing projects.
- Team lunches, team social activities, and team R&R sessions to connect with each other and keep our vibe high.

Skills and experience:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy
- AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
- Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Current driver’s licence
- NDIS worker screening check
- Vaccination against COVID-19
- Creativity and passion for helping children be the best they can be
