The Opportunity

In light of our ongoing growth, we seek a skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will involve managing the increasing demands of our platform as we expand our customer base and process larger datasets. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining low pipeline latency, effectively managing extensive video footage, and developing advanced features that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code while tackling complex challenges.
• Assume responsibility for tasks and independently drive solutions, demonstrating initiative and creativity.
• Architect and implement resilient microservice frameworks to accommodate high-volume data ingestion.
• Engage with a variety of technologies including Go, TypeScript (Node.js), and cloud solutions such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Design and oversee backend systems and databases, utilizing tools like PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are scalable and address business needs.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineering team members.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in coding with Go and TypeScript (Node.js).
• Comprehensive understanding of backend systems and databases, with experience in cloud services like AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong background in microservice architecture, capable of designing systems that operate at scale with high availability and performance.
• Flexibility in working with diverse tools and technologies, selecting the appropriate ones for specific tasks.
