About The Position
As the Planning Manager, you will be instrumental in achieving operational excellence while aligning demand and supply for our global headwear division. Your role will be critical in ensuring timely product delivery, enhancing forecast precision, and optimizing inventory levels to fuel business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain precise demand forecasts at the SKU level, leveraging historical data and market insights.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and merchandising teams to incorporate market intelligence into demand forecasts.
- Adjust forecasts in response to seasonal fluctuations and customer feedback.
- Formulate supply plans that ensure product availability while managing inventory efficiently.
- Coordinate with sourcing, production, and procurement teams to synchronize supply with demand effectively.
- Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency strategies.
- Oversee inventory health across various channels, including retail, e-commerce, and wholesale, both domestically and internationally.
- Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and enhance turnover rates.
- Regularly assess safety stock levels to balance service levels and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop annual and seasonal merchandise plans that support margin goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Act as a primary contact for all planning-related activities across teams, supporting new product launches and seasonal initiatives.
Qualifications
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in demand/supply planning or inventory management, preferably within the fashion, apparel, or accessories sectors.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in forecasting tools and ERP systems, such as SAP or NetSuite.
- Strong analytical capabilities and expertise in Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem resolution.
