We are seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Lead. The PMO Lead is key in improving project delivery by creating and maintaining a standardized project management system, which includes necessary processes, policies, and tools. This position will manage the Business Technology and Programs (BTP) project management practices and follow the ePMO methodology. The PMO Lead will oversee project portfolios and programs within BTP, collaborating closely with other department leaders to ensure that a consistent project management approach is adopted throughout the organization.
This Full Time, permanent position is an integral part of the Delivery and Customer Engagement Department. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role
Reporting to the Director, Delivery & Customer Engagement, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide strategic oversight for project management and monitor interdependences across the portfolio, including liaising with the ePMO and other business stakeholders
- Ensure quality assurance and control in the project management system
- Partner with the ePMO to improve project delivery and governance
- Provide high level support and advice to the BTP Leadership Team in portfolio prioritisation, reporting and tracking
- Model leadership attributes and provide leadership in the application of project and program governance
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) with high level relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training & sound experience (preferably in a PMO, Project / Program Management related field)
- High level written and oral communication skills including negotiation, presentation (both written and oral) skills and the ability to synthesise and communicate complex data and information
- Proven ability to work independently with a high level of strategic thinking, business acumen and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in program or portfolio management and a demonstrated history of successfully delivering projects, programs and/or portfolios
- Experience in Microsoft Project Online, MS Project scheduling and dashboard reporting such as Power BI or similar
