Policycenter Developer (Remote)

This role is a strategic hire to ensure Colonnade can successfully design, develop and deliver large Colonnade-wide projects within our transformation programme.

The main role of hired person will be to develop and maintain our core insurance system and work closely with business team to help converting business requirements into new system features in the area of Guidewire PolicyCenter and PolicyCenter Rating engine.

The incumbent will work in Scrum Team together with other developers, testers and business analysts and will be responsible for development of new features, controlling code quality and supporting business to allow delivery of necessary implementation on core platform and digital front-ends.

DAY TO DAY TASKS – MAIN DUTIES

Design and implementation of new features in Guidewire PolicyCenter especially in the

area of product configuration, rating, document flow, API communication

• Support of existing platform with strong focus on code quality and good solution design
• Daily collaboration with Business Analysts, Testers, Delivery managers and Product owners
• Resolving bugs and reduce Technical Debt
• Creating and maintenance of technical documentation
• Maintain development process in AzureDevOps
• Building strong relationships with workstream colleagues and all senior stakeholders to drive transparency of program workloads, financial, commitments, and expectation
• Active participation with Scrum events: Planning, Daily, Retrospective, Refinement

Requirements

• At least two years of experience with the Guidewire PolicyCenter and good knowledge about PolicyCenter especially with product configuration, rating engine
• Good understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
• Good understanding of REST API standard from provider/consumer perspective
• Understanding of SQL database principles
• Fluent English and communication skills
• Eager to learn new technologies and solutions
• Experience in working with project/product delivery Scrum teams as a developer
• Strength with problem-solving, issue resolution, proactive, ability to work in a deadlinedriven work environment and attention to detail
