The skills re Power BI, Power Query and SQL are important but so is the character and personality of our Power BI Developer/Data Analyst.
You will use your knowledge and experience to help shape, develop and implement our strategy through the provision of good systems, reporting and insights. This hands-on role involves the design, development, and maintenance of strategic and operational reporting, dashboards, data flows, and systems that are critical to our organisation. You will play a key role in shaping the technologies that support data integration across key systems including management information
Your focus will be on the KPI’s of the business and making the data easily accessible so the information can be used to help the overall performance of the business and provide meaningful reports.
You will need to be inquisitive, asking for and obtain information you need to help empower your role
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear insights into business performance.
Extract, transform, and analyse data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel, and cloud services.
Building Reports using Power BI and / or Microsoft SQL / Azure SQL
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and data quality across all reporting systems.
Troubleshoot reporting systems and address any issues that arise.
Create ad-hoc reports to drive informed business decisions.
Essential Skills:
Strong data analysis experience,
Advanced technical skills including Power BI, DAX, Power Query,
Proficiency in SQL and experience in writing complex queries.
Experience working with API integrations, Azure Data Lake, and cloud services.
Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong skills in data extraction, transformation, and analysis from multiple sources.
Ability to visualize data and deliver impactful insights to stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with great attention to detail.
The ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
Team player who can work proactively and on their own initiative.
Ability to work to deadlines and multi-task.
Knowledge of data governance practices and best practices in data management.
