We are seeking a talented Power Electronic Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Fife. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge power supply solutions for various industries, including aerospace & defence, medical, oil & gas, utilities, and industrial markets. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing power supplies and related products, ensuring they meet both internal and external customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design Development: Create designs following established procedures, including concept development, component selection, electronic circuit design, PCB design, and prototype testing.

* Technical Proposals: Review customer specifications and requirements to develop comprehensive technical proposals.

* Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to prepare quotations, respond to technical inquiries, and participate in technical meetings.

* Production Support: Facilitate the transition of designs from R&D to New Product Introduction (NPI) and production, including testing and fault finding.

* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to all aspects of the design and manufacturing process, supporting initiatives for continual improvement.

* Supplier Interaction: Engage with suppliers to discuss requirements as necessary.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in the design and development of power supply products, with a particular focus on Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) and various AC/DC and DC/DC converter designs. Additionally, you should be adept at using electronic design tools and 3D design software, as these are integral to our development process. Your proficiency in these areas will enable you to contribute effectively to our innovative power electronic solutions and drive our projects forward.
