What might your days look like

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading our PR & Communications function in the UK. You will lead and execute strategies that establish Employment Hero as the authority on employment. You will help us transform our business from SaaS to Employment As A Service (EMPASS) and increase our velocity towards our Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG).

The ideal candidate is an experienced PR & Communications expert with proven experience leading PR programs in fast paced, high-growth environments. They are an ambitious, first principles thinker and natural problem solver. Given the huge amount of employment data we have available to us, proven experience using data to drive fame is imperative.

As our PR & Comms Lead, you’ll be responsible for:

• Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive PR & Communications strategies that make Employment Hero famous.
• Leadership: Lead internal PR & Insights experts and PR agencies in each of our markets, inspiring them to think big and push boundaries.
• Data driven approach: Over 2 million people are employed through our platforms. Your approach should utilise our first party data to establish Employment Hero as the global authority on Employment.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on performance, identify areas for improvement and share our progress with the business.
• Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategies are innovative and effective.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, wider marketing team and other stakeholders from across the business to ensure alignment across the business
• Execution: Own the plan, ensuring the entire squad executes effectively and efficiently across
• Customer Insights: Connect with our customers (B2B and B2C) to gather customer insights and feedback to inform product development and other improvements.

What will you bring

• A proven track record leading and executing PR & Comms teams in an agency or in-house agency marketing/media environment.
• 7+ years in high-paced marketing environments focused on PR. Tech or fintech experience a bonus.
• Excellent writing, editorial, grammar and verbal communication skills.
• Strong media contacts in the UK market.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and to build editorial stories.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and proactive in driving initiatives to success.
• Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Adaptability and resilience in handling changing priorities.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to build long-term plans while responding to the needs of the business.
• Experience driving SEO through PR is a plus.
