Role Description:
As a Principal Digital Marketing Strategist, you will play a dual role in strategizing and executing digital marketing initiatives while actively engaging in sales and growth activities for our managed services business. You will develop and implement advanced marketing strategies tailored to client needs, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth. Leveraging your deep understanding of current trends, state-of-the-art tools, and methodologies, you will drive customer acquisition, enhance retention, and elevate both our clients’ and our own brand presence in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute customized digital marketing strategies across channels like social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Align marketing initiatives with client and company business goals to drive growth and brand awareness.
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor campaign performance and derive actionable insights.
- Conduct A/B testing and optimize campaigns based on data analysis.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in digital marketing and emerging technologies.
- Introduce cutting-edge tools and platforms to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
- Engage in prospecting activities, including networking, outreach, and attending industry events.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact.
- Design and implement strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention for both clients and our company.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute growth marketing experiments to test new ideas and channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams—product development, sales, and design—to ensure cohesive messaging and delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve services and offerings based on client interactions and market research.
- Prepare detailed reports for clients and internal stakeholders to illustrate outcomes and ROI.
- Monitor key performance indicators across marketing and sales functions to assess effectiveness.
- Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize results.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing strategy with a strong background in sales or business development, preferably within a managed services environment or agency.
- Proven track record of managing client relationships and executing successful digital marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Deep expertise in social media channels, digital marketing channels, online advertising, and best practices.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SEO/SEM strategies and tools.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic web design principles is an advantage.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth company environment.
- Contributions to marketing thought leadership or published articles in digital marketing.
- Familiarity with growth hacking techniques and experimental marketing.
