Job Overview:

Procurement Operations Manager will be responsible for managing key weekly procurement activities across all categories (wet/dry product, packaging, etc.) as well as managing order fulfillment to our retail partners. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement, responsibility will be given to you from day one, and you will be expected to use your initiative and creativity to help us grow our business. You are a roll-up-your-sleeves operator who thrives in detail, organization, and analysis to deliver measurable results. As part of the Procurement team, you will play a key role in improving our costs, product quality, supply chain reliability, and product innovation – helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our Suppliers, Distribution Centers and Carriers to ensure on time, in full, in quality supply of all products
  • Place purchase orders and track inventory levels and ensure proper safety stock coverage based on our forecast
  • Help build and maintain our supply plan and share forecasts with our suppliers
  • Manage inbound logistics to our Distribution Centers
  • Manage the end-to-end process to fulfill purchase orders from our retail partners, including releasing inventory, outbound logistics, and invoicing
  • Leverage available data and reports to understand ops performance and drive changes/insights based on those insights
  • Work on initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our inbound supply chain processes, including supporting waste management and cost savings opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by recommending changes, testing new processes, onboarding new procurement tech software and implementing updates
  • Complete complex or simple analyses to support operational projects
  • Complete regular reporting on various metrics such as inventory health or supplier performance KPIs
  • Support the Sr. Procurement Manager with the implementation of the category strategy
  • Partner closely with members across the company and its stakeholders

At a minimum, you have…

  • 3 to 5 years experience in supply chain or procurement operations
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A degree in supply chain, business, engineering, other relevant area of study; or comparable work experience
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills, for example using pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
  • Quick to learn new systems and tools such as Warehouse Management and EDI portals
  • Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work and should think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented: you have well-honed strategies for never missing a deadline or overlooking a key detail, and are comfortable juggling multiple priorities at once
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving, and constantly evolving high-growth environment
