About the role:

This position is to create innovative and user-centred designs for our products. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and refine product concepts, ensuring they meet user needs and align with business objectives. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct user research to gather insights about user needs, behaviours, and pain points. 
• Analyse market trends and competitor products to inform design decisions.
• Create user personas and journey maps to guide the design process.
• Generate creative product concepts through brainstorming sessions and collaboration with team members.
• Develop sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to visualize design ideas.
• Present design concepts to stakeholders for feedback and iteration.
• Extend the Spenda design system in collaboration with managers and engineers ensuring all UI components feasible, reusable and modular in nature.
• Create detailed design specifications, including layouts, typography, colours, and imagery.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results.
• Build interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and gather user feedback.
• Conduct usability tests to assess the effectiveness and usability of designs.
• Analyse test results and make necessary adjustments to improve the user experience.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product launches.
• Communicate design rationale and decisions effectively to stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

About You

Whilst previous experience in a similar position would be essential, equally as important will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Proven experience as a Product Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design work.
• Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and usability best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
