Role Overview:
We are looking for a Product Designer to play a key role in enhancing the functionality and user experience of our Learning Management System (LMS). In this position, you will craft user-centered designs that prioritize usability and intuitive interactions.
Your focus will be on creating accessible experiences that meet the needs of our diverse user base. You’ll contribute to every stage of the design process. This includes discovery, designing user interfaces (UI), interactions (UX), writing and researching.
Key Responsibilities:
- User-Centered Design: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces that prioritize usability and meet user needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Developers and Analysts, to translate user needs into functional and visually appealing designs.
- Design Consistency: Maintain and enforce the use of design systems, ensuring consistency across all product interfaces. Ensure designs align with guidelines and visual identity.
- Documentation and Handoffs: Document component behavior, usage guidelines, and design logic to ensure smooth handoff to development teams.
- Prototyping and Testing: Develop interactive prototypes to simulate user flows and test design interactions. Use feedback from usability tests and stakeholders to refine designs.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct or collaborate on user research, competitor analysis, and market trends to inform design decisions and identify areas for product improvement.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions and improve the overall user experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven 3+ years of experience in Product design or UX/UI design.
- A portfolio with real complex products is a must.
- High level of Figma usage is a must. Confident in using Adobe Creative Cloud, Principle, Lottie, etc.
- Can assemble a communication banner, draw a small illustration or icon.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their implications for design decisions.
Core Skills:
- UX Patterns: Deep understanding of popular UX patterns, usability heuristics, and laws. Able to avoid dark patterns and implement designs based on OS guidelines.
- UX Writing: Proficient in writing clear, user-friendly text for interfaces.
- Prototyping: Proficient in creating clickable prototypes to simulate user flows, using advanced techniques such as smart animate and API integration.
- User Research: Independently conducts user research, analyzes quantitative and qualitative data, and applies insights to enhance user experience.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, working closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
- Think systemically, able to see the product as a whole.
- Accurate and attentive to details.
- Fluent in English and Russian.
