Job Title: Senior Product Manager – Debt Recovery Platform

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to lead the evolution of our flagship debt recovery platform. As the Head of Product, you will define and execute the product strategy to address the complexities of debt recovery, including litigation management, integration with scrub agencies, tracers, and outsourcing partners. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the product effectively incorporates automation, AI-driven analytics, and industry best practices to support financial institutions, loan collection agencies, law firms, and debt recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Define and implement a long-term product vision addressing the entire debt recovery lifecycle, from early-stage delinquency to litigation, settlement, and charge-offs.
  • Drive the product roadmap, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of banks, financial services, and debt recovery firms, while complying with industry regulations and standards.
  • Continuously assess market trends, customer feedback, and emerging technologies to ensure the product remains innovative and competitive.

Litigation & Ecosystem Collaboration:

  • Lead the development of features supporting litigation management, enabling seamless transitions from delinquency to legal actions and facilitating collaboration with external law firms.
  • Ensure the platform integrates effectively with scrub agencies, tracers, and third-party collection agencies, supporting smooth external workflows and data exchanges.

Automation & AI-Driven Features:

  • Oversee the design and implementation of automation solutions to streamline critical recovery tasks, including dynamic repayment schedules, intelligent settlement offers, and automated debtor communications.
  • Collaborate with the data science team to incorporate AI models that predict debtor behavior, optimize contact strategies, and improve decision-making in debt recovery processes.

Debt Segmentation & Prioritization:

  • Develop and enhance tools for debt segmentation, categorizing debts by debtor profiles, risk factors, and financial data, enabling prioritized recovery efforts and optimized resource allocation.

Multi-Channel Communication:

  • Enhance multi-channel communication features for debtor engagement across phone, email, SMS, and in-app messaging, incorporating automated and personalized communication strategies to improve recovery rates.

Outsourcing & Partner Collaboration:

  • Work with outsourcing partners to optimize labor-intensive aspects of debt collection, such as call center operations, ensuring seamless integration and tracking of performance.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure the product adheres to regulatory requirements, including consumer protection laws, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and anti-money laundering (AML) standards.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to maintain the platform’s compliance with evolving regulations and industry standards.

Performance Analytics & Reporting:

  • Design analytics dashboards to provide banks with real-time reporting on KPIs, such as recovery rates, agent productivity, and AI-driven interventions.
  • Enable clients to make data-driven decisions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their collections teams.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across engineering, legal, compliance, and customer support to ensure the timely delivery of innovative, high-quality product features.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to position the product effectively in the market and communicate its value proposition to prospective clients.

Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement:

  • Engage regularly with clients to gather feedback, prioritize product enhancements, and continuously improve the platform to meet evolving customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on debt recovery, collections, or financial technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of debt recovery processes, including litigation management, automation, AI, and integration with third-party partners.
  • Proven track record of driving product innovation and delivering results in fast-paced, regulated industries.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements, including data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and debt recovery regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
