Where do you fit in?
The Product Lead (PL) is the key stakeholder for a project and represents customer persona and acceptance criteria for Product management. The PL has a vision of what they wish to build and conveys that vision to the scrum team. They contribute to the detailed product roadmap for the product and product manager they support. The Product Lead is responsible for decomposition of Business Epics and capturing as well managing product development feature story requirements. Additionally, the PL manages the backlog prioritization; maintains working relationships with key stakeholders to discover and understand business needs and translate them into user story requirements and acceptance. The PL should have a solid understanding of customer persona, the backlog and the product management prioritization, and trends for the domain or type of system being developed.
As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be:
- Reviews, updates, and grooms backlogs the scrum teams and Technical Lead for submission aligned with Product and Company strategies and roadmaps
- Understands and aligns with strategic themes, Business epic translation, feature creation, and story development
- Partner with Product Managers across the product portfolio and other business departments to design and develop new requirements into existing software functionality
- Create detailed requirements, use cases, guides, and diagrams for product releases while prioritizing roadmap feature/functions to best manage, maintain and groom the product backlog
- Acts as the single source and owner of story details and prioritization for the scrum team – and understands the why
- Write specific acceptance criteria
- Participate in all scrum ceremonies
- Observe, learn about, contact, and analyze customers and end users of the products
- Keep in touch and work with every stakeholder of the product regularly
- Keep a clear feature-based roadmap which is dynamic in nature
- Owns product backlog & Prioritization (Triaged by Technical Leader)
You’ll need to bring :
- Ability to (verbally and in-writing) communicate clearly and succinctly complex project plans, design, and technical issues, as well as business and product requirements
- Strong organizational, time-management, analytical and decision-making skills to efficiently evaluate, plan, and accomplish personal work goals
- Detailed working knowledge of a System/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Previous demonstrated success in gathering information from a wide variety of sources and subsequently crafting it into effective and audience-appropriate technical and non-technical documentation
- Proven track record of success analyzing, defining, and overseeing requirements for advanced and complex applications, products and/or integrations of advanced complexity
- Proven track record in managing the requirements definition process and synthesizing for a variety of stakeholders representing large and complex organizations.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively follow established processes to ensure the successful transfer of complex technical, process and organizational knowledge
- Keen listening skills and ability to empathize with speaker’s point through verbal and non-verbal cues
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented work culture, providing back-up support to team members & establishing/maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas necessary
- Experience working in a regulated technical environment and/or previous experience with clinical software highly desirable
We will be thrilled if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- MBA highly desirable
- 3+ years functioning as Product Owner or similar
