We are currently in the development phase of our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and targeting a launch in early 2024.

We are seeking a Product Manager with extensive experience to join us in a startup environment as we aim to revolutionize how people plan, shop, and prepare their meals. This role is equity-only until we secure full funding.

Position Overview:

As the Product Manager at MealMatch AI, you will play a pivotal role in driving product development and ensuring the successful delivery of our MVP by February 28th, 2024. You will collaborate closely with the CTO, engineers, and data scientists to manage the development timeline, oversee sprints, and facilitate seamless communication between teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the product roadmap: Manage the development schedule for our web application MVP, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
• Coordinate with engineering teams: Work closely with frontend, backend, and AI/ML teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure the product is delivered on time.
• Sprint management: Lead agile sprint planning, daily standups, and weekly reviews to track progress and resolve any blockers.
• GitLab expertise: Maintain product development workflows using GitLab for project management, ensuring proper version control, issue tracking, and code review processes are followed.
• Feature prioritization: Collaborate with the CTO and Founder to prioritize key features that align with the company’s mission and user needs.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as the bridge between design, engineering, and leadership teams, ensuring everyone is aligned on objectives and timelines.
• Stakeholder communication: Provide regular updates on project progress to the leadership team and identify any risks to the timeline or scope of the MVP.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in GitLab: Must have deep knowledge and hands-on experience managing product development through GitLab, including workflows, issue tracking, and version control.
• Product management experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of delivering successful products.
• Agile methodology expertise: Strong understanding of agile project management, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
• Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on product goals.
• Leadership skills: Capable of leading teams and managing multiple aspects of the product development lifecycle.
• Startup mindset: Passionate about joining a startup and playing a critical role in building a product from the ground up.

Compensation:

• Equity Only: This is an equity-only position. There will be no salary or other forms of compensation until we are fully funded. Equity will be offered based on experience and commitment.
