Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary authority on our search technology and recommendation systems, providing expertise and guidance across the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and engage with the product to deeply understand user experiences, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Author comprehensive specifications, manage project execution, and develop effective rollout strategies and communication plans.
- Create and maintain the product roadmap, proposing forward-thinking features while ensuring meticulous documentation for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, product teams, engineers, analysts, sales, and marketing to prioritize enhancements in our search capabilities.
Required Skills
- 5-7 years of cumulative experience in product management, data science, or engineering.
- 3+ years of experience specifically in search or recommendation engines/models.
- Proficiency in data querying and analysis, with fundamental SQL skills being essential.
- A strong ability to ask penetrating questions and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data effectively.
- Proven experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams and driving projects without formal authority.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years in a product or business leadership role, demonstrating a successful track record of achieving business outcomes.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Practical experience with search engine technologies.
- Capability to read and write pseudocode or convey technical ideas clearly.
