The Product Manager – Liability will primarily be responsible for the development of liability products ideas, technology and strategies for CorVel’s liability claim services. As a product manager the position serves as a bridge between the Executive Team, Operations, IT, Account Management, and Sales. Position ensures cohesive product and client collaboration within CorVel Corporation with a focus on product life cycle management.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle product management: including contractual, business scope, requirements, effectiveness
  • Partners closely with the Chief Claims Officer to drive strategic product projects, including planning, calls/meetings, follow-ups
  • Partner closely with Implementation Manager for client implementations meetings, including planning, meeting participation, follow-ups
  • Partner closely with Business Operations Team (BOT) developing product requirements and prioritization of development efforts
  • Complete specific projects at the direction of the Chief Claims Officer and the executive team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note, Word and Visio is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strategic creativity.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience is preferred
  • Certified Project Manager Certification a plus
  • At least 7 years’ experience handling or managing liability claim exposures
  • CareMC navigation expertise
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership preferred

Pay Range

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $94,745 – $159,206
