WalletConnect is the de facto web3 communications protocol allowing interoperability between wallets and apps across chains. We began with a single API and now facilitate millions of messages and connections each month. Today we’re building a suite of web3 SDKs including AppKit (FKA Web3Modal) and WalletKit (FKA Web3Wallet), with a mission of empowering developers to build engaging web3 experiences so that as an industry, we can reach the next 100 million crypto users.

The Role:

WalletConnect is seeking a Product Manager who has experience in decentralization and is deeply passionate about pioneering innovation in the blockchain domain. You will report into the Head of Product. We’re on a mission to transform developer interactions and you will be working on a combination of new and existing products. This role will be responsible for:

• Decentralization – You’ll help drive our protocol and network towards further decentralization so that it’s future-proof for years to come.
• WalletConnect Cloud – Interacting with our App and Wallet builder customers to provide them the backend tooling they need for insights and management of their projects that utilize WalletConnect products. 
• Data team – Work with our internal data team to mature our data practices to provide us better insights internally and that we can share with customers and the market. And you are constantly on the lookout for product opportunities.

You’ll have the opportunity to interact with the thousands of builders using WalletConnect products, because we know you are customer obsessed. We are looking for someone who can take multifaceted problems and simplify them into real customer solutions. 

 Responsibilities:

• Vision: Help us shape the future of the products for customers, and the protocol for how it will decentralize over time
• Roadmap: Create a clear and prioritized roadmap that we can rally our team and partners around 
• Driver: You’ll be in the driver’s seat, keeping us organized, on track, and achieving our desired outcomes 
• Decentralization Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive decentralized model that fosters user participation and aligns with our company’s strategic objectives.
• User Experience Optimization: Ensure a seamless user experience by designing intuitive interfaces and integrating decentralized functionality into our existing software developer tools.
• Community Engagement: Cultivate a vibrant community, fostering dialogue, gathering feedback, and driving awareness of its benefits.
• Partnership Management: Collaborate with external partners for new product opportunities and developers to explore integration opportunities and expand the decentralized utility across the broader blockchain ecosystem.
• Analytics & Iteration: Utilize data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and iterate on strategies to optimize user engagement and retention.

Must have:

• Proven track record of product management experience in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, or Web3 space.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency wallets, and the mechanics of on-chain transactions.
• You can show us concrete examples of where you’ve kept a large team organized and driving towards outcomes 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of user experience principles and best practices, with a track record of delivering intuitive and user-friendly products.
• Use market and competitor research to advise product strategy decisions
• Ability to break down complex scenarios into easy to short, simple, and easy to understand language
• Proven track record to work closely with designers, engineers and end users to translate design ideas into working prototypes; Set and deliver compelling product visions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving innovation and disrupting traditional business models.
