Job Description:

As a Product Owner specializing in data technologies, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the development and implementation of various data-related initiatives within the organization, particularly focusing on data governance, data profiling, data modeling, data mapping, data warehousing, data visualization, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Your extensive experience in IT, coupled with your in-depth knowledge of banking regulatory reporting and compliance, will be instrumental in ensuring that our data systems meet the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and compliance.

Requirement:

1. 15+ Years of overall IT experience.
2. 8-10 Years of relevant experience in Product Management or Product Ownership.
3. 8+ Years of relevant experience in Banking domain and Banking product.
4. Strong hands on US banking requirements.

Technical Expertise in Data Platforms

• Data Architecture: Strong understanding of the design, structure, and management of data systems (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, pipelines, ETL processes).
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for managing data infrastructure.
• Database Management: Knowledge of relational databases, ensuring optimal database performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Data Integration & APIs: Understanding of data integration processes, APIs, and the ability to oversee improvements in these areas to ensure stable and efficient data flows.
• Data Security & Privacy: Awareness of data governance, security protocols, and compliance issues related to data handling.
• Performance Optimization: Skills in monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to platform performance, scalability, and reliability.

1.Product Management Expertise

• Roadmap Planning & Strategy: Ability to define and prioritize a roadmap that aligns with business goals, ensuring platform stability and performance improvements.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience in gathering requirements from business, technical, and operational stakeholders to deliver value.
• Agile & Scrum: Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), managing backlogs, writing user stories, and guiding the team through sprints. Exposure to using JIRA.
• User-Centric Approach: Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets the needs of end-users while focusing on performance.
• Metrics & KPIs: Ability to define and track metrics to monitor platform health, performance, and user satisfaction, and adjust product strategy accordingly.
• Risk Management: Proactive approach in identifying risks related to platform performance and stability and mitigating them.

2. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Technical & Non-Technical Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders, and vice versa, to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Vendor Management: Experience working with third-party vendors or partners providing technical tools or services critical to platform stability and upgrades.
• Continuous Improvement: Passion for driving iterative improvements in platform performance, collaborating with engineering teams for optimization.

3.Problem Solving & Analytical Skills

• Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze platform metrics, performance data, and user feedback to make informed decisions that lead to platform improvements.
• Root Cause Analysis: Proficient in identifying underlying issues causing platform instability or inefficiency and driving corrective actions.

4.Leadership & Team Development

• Leadership in Technical Environments: Experience in leading teams of engineers, data scientists, and platform specialists, motivating them toward achieving product and platform stabilization goals.
• Mentorship: Capability to mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing in a technical environment.

5.Change Management & Communication

• Change Implementation: Skill in managing platform upgrades and changes, ensuring minimal disruption and smooth transitions.
• Documentation: Experience in documenting product and platform changes, best practices, and upgrade processes to ensure clarity and continuity across teams.

These skill sets enable a Product Owner to not only manage the strategic direction of platform stabilization efforts but also bring technical insight to the table, ensuring that performance, upgrades, and maintenance are effectively executed.
