Graebel Program Managers hold a critical position within the organization and are instrumental in partnering with stakeholders and program/project teams to help achieve the company’s strategic goals forward through the implementation of business solutions across the enterprise. The ideal Program Manager will be able to demonstrate their strong program/project management, organizational and delivery skills and function effectively in a high intensity, constantly changing environment.

Principal/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage cross-functional programs/projects and teams to successful delivery
• Effectively identify, communicate, and manage cross-team issues, risks, and conflicting priorities
• Develop and manage program/project plans and artifacts throughout the duration of the effort
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Agile best practices and promoting a collaborative team environment
• Communicate program/project status regularly to stakeholders and executive sponsors with emphasis on key issues and risks
• Facilitate conversations among stakeholders to obtain agreement on program/project scope and success criterion
• Successfully manage program/project budgets and timelines
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Proven techniques to track, monitor, and control all aspects of a program/project with a focus on consistency and successful delivery
• Results-oriented approach, with the ability to drive execution within the program/project team
• Extensive experience managing complex, cross-functional software development and implementation programs/projects
• Proven experience as a Program Manager or similar role, with a focus on product development and Agile methodologies
• Demonstrated Agile/Scrum expertise to include:
• Thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum driving principles and detailed processes with the ability to identify and implement organization specific customizations to drive results
• Expertise leveraging Agile/Scrum tools to quantifiably drive work efforts (ADO, Jira, etc, – ADO experience is strongly preferred)
• Coaching/management of team members (Product Owner, Scrum Lead, Team members – BA, Developers, Testers)
• Demonstrated experience driving successful, repeatable delivery by balancing “by the book” Agile/Scrum processes with organization specific customizations
• Demonstrated expertise with a variety of project management methodologies: Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, XP, etc. with the ability to evaluate and adjust methodologies and processes to meet organizational needs
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization – written, verbal, and presentation
• Additional personal characteristics: a questioning mind that gives you the ability to delve deep into issues; innovative, out-of-the-box thinking; a holistic perspective; persuasive, coalition-building style; customer-centric focus
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with a focus on driving to mutually acceptable resolutions
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Proficient in Azure Dev Ops is preferred

Required Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in successful program/project management, or equivalent applicable experience
• 5+ years’ experience effectively managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
• Proven track record of on-time, on-budget program/project delivery
• Proven experience driving effective communication/collaboration across functional and technical teams
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and Agile/Scrum management software (ADO, Jira)
• Hands-on experience with a variety of project management methodologies (waterfall, xp, Agile-Kanban, etc.) and tools
• Proven track record of developing methods and means for collecting requirements
• Experience quickly learning new tools and applications and effectively leveraging them
• Experience in implementing change into an organization
• 4-year degree or equivalent related experience

As a testament to our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, our salary bands are transparent both internally and as a part of our external recruitment process. The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $130,000 CAD to $160,000 CAD.
