Department Overview
Major Infrastructure Delivery is largely a field-based organization made up of over 11,000 coworkers and contractors that ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to approximately 16 million people throughout a 70,000 square-mile service area in northern and central California. The organization is accountable for the company’s program to underground 10,000 miles of electric distribution lines to reduce wildfire risk, the System Inspection Program to identify potential risks to the safety and reliability of the system, and Vegetation Management to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity. The Quality Management team supports the Major Infrastructure Delivery organization to meet or exceed established operational targets, including compliance requirements, KPIs, budget, and risk reduction strategies that support the company’s Purpose, Virtutes and Stands.
Position Summary
Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.
- Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s)
- Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
- Developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program
- Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time
- Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
- Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
- Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E
- Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures
- Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Bay Minimum: $102,000
Bay Maximum: $162,000
&/OR
CA Minimum: $97,000
CA Maximum: $154,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals.
- Works independently on most issues.
- Provides direction on overall program plan and goals.
- Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan.
- Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
- Develops budget forecasts, conducts analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develops solutions to address.
- Develops new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 6 years
Desired:
- Advanced knowledge of Program Management
- Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints.
- Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams
- Ability to work within a Regulatory environment
- Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
- Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information.
