Project Controls Director (Remote)

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Director to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing project control functions for large-scale infrastructure projects. This position involves strategic leadership and the implementation of best practices in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management. The Project Controls Director will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the project controls function for multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and best practices.
– Develop and implement project control systems, processes, and tools to enhance project delivery and performance.
– Establish and maintain project baselines for scope, schedule, and budget, and monitor project performance against these baselines.
– Conduct regular project reviews and provide detailed reporting on project status, including metrics on cost, schedule, and risks.
– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify potential issues and develop corrective actions.
– Oversee the preparation and maintenance of detailed project schedules using industry-standard software tools.
– Lead cost estimation and budgeting processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective cost control measures are in place.
– Facilitate risk management workshops to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
– Mentor and develop the project controls team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and quality assurance processes.

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
– Minimum of 25 years of experience, with the majority spent in PMC environments managing large-scale building and infrastructure projects..
– Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
– Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
